Five years after entering the French market, Bjelin is taking a new step in its development by entrusting the distribution of its Woodura flooring to FP BOIS. This strategic partnership aims to strengthen the Swedish-Croatian brand’s presence among building material merchants and wood specialists, while improving product availability and support for specifiers nationwide. For Bjelin, the goal is clear: to further structure its sales network to support its growth ambitions. "We are currently strengthening our distribution to professionals to ensure consistent market coverage and local support for distributors and specifiers across France," explains David Sarcinella, Bjelin’s General Manager for Western Europe. The company has chosen to partner with FP BOIS, a long-established industry player based in Mimizan (Landes), known for its nationwide sales network and close ties to professional channels. The French group views this collaboration as an opportunity to meet the sustained demand for high-performance, distinctive flooring solutions. "We see strong potential in developing the Bjelin offering on the French market through a structured distribution approach," emphasizes Éric Plantier, CEO of FP BOIS.
Beyond the commercial partnership, the agreement is built on a distinctive technological proposition. Bjelin develops Woodura® hardened wood flooring, featuring the watertight 5G Dry® locking system. This technology enhances the flooring's durability while optimizing the use of wood resources. The brand also highlights its ability to produce up to ten times more surface area from the same amount of raw material.
With this new arrangement, Bjelin has set ambitious goals. "Thanks to this collaboration, we aim to capture at least 10% of the French wood flooring market by 2028," states David Sarcinella. An ambition that reflects the manufacturer's determination to become a leading player in a particularly competitive French market.
