Hybrimur is a new façade solution combining a timber frame with a reinforced concrete facing. Developed using the patented Hybridal technology, this construction system relies on an innovative structural connection between the two materials, allowing their respective qualities to be combined into a single prefabricated element. The concept involves bonding a load-bearing timber frame to a 7 cm-thick reinforced concrete exterior facing using a specialized structural bonding process. Following surface preparation and the installation of mechanical anchors, the frame is embedded into the wet concrete to create genuine "cooperation" between the materials. Designed to address building decarbonization goals by combining a carbon-storing bio-based resource with low-carbon concrete, the system reduces the environmental footprint of construction projects while maintaining high performance in terms of structural strength, durability, and fire resistance. The panels are fully prefabricated in the workshop and delivered ready for on-site installation. With customizable mineral finishes, the façades also offer great architectural freedom, making Hybrimur an innovative alternative for residential, commercial, and public projects.
