In early May, Vincent Jeanbrun, the Minister for Cities and Housing, proposed the appointment of Jonathan Sebbane as President and CEO of the Scientific and Technical Center for Building (CSTB), effective May 29. He succeeds Étienne Crépon, who led the organization for over a decade. The Minister commended the career of Étienne Crépon, who has been involved in public policy regarding housing, urban planning, and construction for more than thirty years. Under his leadership, the CSTB strengthened its scientific and technical capabilities while expanding its international reach and initiatives promoting innovation and the environmental transition within the building sector. A former official at the Ministry of Ecology and the Île-de-France region, Jonathan Sebbane had been leading the Sgaris Group—a specialist in urban logistics—since 2016. His appointment is intended to enable the CSTB to continue supporting the environmental, industrial, and technological transformations of the construction sector.
