Complementing the Hup M 28-22 (28 m jib), the Igo M 24-19 (24 m jib) rounds out Potain’s "M" series of cranes. Featuring integrated ballast and transport gear, these self-erecting cranes from Potain (part of the Manitowoc Group) are designed for rapid transport and setup between job sites. "This is particularly advantageous for timber construction, where projects are often short-term. The latest model, launched in 2025—the Igo M 24-19—offers a maximum capacity of 1,800 kg and a jib-end capacity of 570 kg, perfectly meeting our customers' needs," says Rémi Deporte, Self-Erecting Crane Product Manager at Potain.
Regarding site access, the Igo M 24-19 is equipped with a steered axle. "The ability to steer the wheels makes it easier to access job sites—such as mountain locations for chalet construction," he adds. The model can also be fitted with a PowerBoost™ battery pack, eliminating the need for a generator or mains power to operate the steered axle, hydraulic leveling, erection, and lifting functions.
The latest self-erecting crane, the Evy 28-21 (2.2 t capacity), will be showcased at the Potain stand (Hall H7.2, Stand F086) during the Batimat 2026 trade show. This machine boasts a maximum capacity of 2.2 t and, thanks to the P+ function, delivers a jib-end capacity of 950 kg at a 28 m radius. In addition to a 21 m under-hook height with the jib horizontal, the machine offers three luffed jib configurations: 10°, 20°, or 30°. At a 30° angle, the height under the hook reaches 32.30 m.
Like all current self-erecting cranes, these two models can be equipped with the Potain CONNECT™ telematics solution. "Thanks to its wide range of features, the customer gains access to in-depth management of their fleet's cranes, enabling them to streamline service and maintenance while reducing operating costs and environmental impact," states Rémi Deporte.
