In 2025, Europe continued to dominate the laminate flooring market, accounting for more than 80% of the sales of members of the European Producers of Laminate Flooring, with a total of 263.4 million square meters sold, down 6.5% compared to 2024. This slowdown reflects a difficult global environment in the construction and renovation sectors, although performances varied significantly across regions. Western Europe, representing 58% of sales, experienced a moderate decline (-5.6%), with France remaining almost stable at 30.4 million square meters (-0.6%), while Germany and the United Kingdom recorded sharper decreases (-8.2% and -5.5% respectively). Eastern Europe, accounting for 23% of sales, posted growth of 2.6%, driven by Poland (+3.6%) and Romania (+9.3%), demonstrating the potential of certain emerging countries despite local pressures. Outside Europe, sales declined more sharply: -12.4% in North America, -20.6% in Latin America, -24.5% in Asia-Pacific, and -31.6% in Africa, with significant drops in Kazakhstan, Taiwan, and South Africa. These results highlight contrasting regional dynamics: while the European market remains relatively stable, global demand is evolving at very different rates. For 2026, EPLF manufacturers continue to focus on innovation, sustainability, and quality, reinforcing the position of laminate flooring as a competitive, versatile, and environmentally friendly solution in a demanding commercial environment.
