
Dieffenbacher is developing two major innovation areas focused on material recovery and sustainable energy production: advanced recycling of wood and composite materials, and the conversion of residues into energy and high value-added products. In the recycling sector, the company offers the Fiber2Fiber process, which enables the reuse of fibreboards (MDF, HDF, THDF), including end-of-life panels. This technology allows recycled fibres to be integrated into the production of new panels as a substitute for virgin wood, while preserving fibre quality and reducing production costs. The group is also developing Waste2Product solutions aimed at transforming complex waste materials, such as glass-fibre composites or paper-plastic packaging, into reusable panels or components for construction and insulation applications. At the same time, its Energy division designs sustainable energy production solutions using biogenic residues. These systems make it possible to generate nitrogen-free synthesis gas intended for the production of hydrogen or green fuels. This integrated approach combines material recycling with the replacement of fossil fuels, contributing to a more circular economy.
